Thomas Leroy "Hutto" Dixon

Thomas Leroy "Hutto" Dixon, 53, of Valdosta went to be with Jesus on Monday, August 1, 2016 at the Langdale Hospice House. He was born on February 18, 1963 in Valdosta to the late Leroy and Marie Prescott Dixon. Mr. Dixon was a Baptist, a paint contractor and truck driver. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother who enjoyed spending time with his family. Mr. Dixon enjoyed fishing, camping and going to the beach. He was a calm and comical person who gave a hundred percent in all he did and believed you should have peace in all your decisions.
Survivors include his wife of thirty five years, Karen Dixon of Valdosta; two sons, Justin Dixon of Valdosta, Brent and Brittany Dixon of Austin, TX; a miracle granddaughter, Sadie Grace "Bug" Dixon; two sisters, Vanda Rigsby and Kendall Hudson both of Valdosta; numerous nieces and nephews; his mother in law, Vivian Arnold of Valdosta; two brothers in law and sisters in law, Lee and Rhonda Arnold, Eric and Deanna Arnold all of Valdosta. He was preceded in death by a uncle, Morris Dasher and his father in law, Ronald Arnold.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm, Wednesday, August 3, 2016 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Dr. Steve Ward and Rev. Wayne Montgomery officiating.
