Thomas Elmore, Jr., 62, of Valdosta died on Sunday, July 5, 2009 at Holly Hill Nursing Home following a short illness. He was born on July 7, 1946 in San Diego, California to the late Thomas Sr., and Bertha Morgan Elmore. He was retired from the United States Air Force with the rank of Master Sergeant. He was a member of the American Legion and the Mt. Pleasant Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Trueblood Elmore of Valdosta; one daughter, Rebecca Rose Elmore of Valdosta; a sister, Shirley Harvey of Marion, New York; mother-in-law, Mary Trueblood of Spencer Indiana; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Judy and Chuck Bain of Spencer, Indiana; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill and Susan Trueblood of Delphi, Indiana; five nephews; special companions, Lorelai and Isabella. He was preceded in death by a son, Ryan Elmore.
Services for Thomas Elmore, Jr. will be held on Friday, July 10, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the McLane Riverview Mausoleum Chapel with Preacher Charlie Wilson officiating. The visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the Riverview Mausoleum Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation, Inc.
