Thomas Edwin Weaver, TSgt USAF (Ret.), 72, of Valdosta, died Sunday, May 25, 2008 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born in Rimersburg, PA on December 15, 1935 a son of Harry J. and Lottie B. Sybert Weaver.
Following his marriage to Beverly A. Pollock he enlisted in the US Air Force, serving as an Aircraft Instrument Technician and retiring after more than twenty years of service. After his retirement he completed trade school and became a Journeyman Painter at Mare Island Naval Shipyard, Vallejo, CA, retiring in 1988. Tom and Beverly moved to Valdosta five years ago.
He was a member of Forrest Park Church of Christ. Tom was greatly loved and will be deeply missed by his family. He was easy going, easy to talk to, and well liked by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly A. Weaver of Valdosta, two daughters and son-in-laws, Karen P. Weeks and Ricky of Milton, FL, and Beverly A. Kay and Dale of Valdosta, three grandchildren, Rebekah G. Robinson and husband Thomas, Malissa A. Kay and fiancé Jonathan L. Garner, and Sarah J. Kay, all of Valdosta, one sister, Eleanor Runyan of Hermitage, PA, his mother-in-law, Regina M. Pollock of Valdosta, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Thomas O. Weaver, and by brothers and sisters.
Services will be held at 11 am Wednesday, May 28, 2008 in the Chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Mr. Ray Joyner officiating.
