Thomas E. (Ed) Tillman

Thomas E. (Ed) Tillman, 66, of Valdosta died Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at his residence. He was born on March 8, 1947 in Brooks County to the late Joel Edwards Tillman and Lois Asbell Tillman. Ed was a United States Navy Veteran, a diesel mechanic and shop foreman at Interstate Nationalease Inc. and a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of forty four years, Jill Tillman of Valdosta, two daughters and sons in law, Kristen and Christopher Stanford of Valdosta and Britni and Jacob Smith of Gulfport, MS, five grandchildren, Gabrielle Stanford, Christopher Stanford, Jr. (C. J.), Briana Worth, Isabella Worth and Eli Smith, numerous nieces and nephews. Ed is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Betty Sue Croft.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 28, 2014 at two p. m. at the graveside at Wayfare Cemetery with Mr. Jesse Benefield officiating. United States Navy military honors will be performed.
