Theron (T.C.) Smith, Jr.

Theron "T.C." Smith, Jr., 66, of Copperas Cove, TX, formerly of Valdosta, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 14, 2011, in Killeen, Texas.

Theron was born March 23, 1945 in Tifton, a son of the late Theron and Geneva (Rooks) Smith, and married Shirley Yeomans on June 26, 1966 in Quitman.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Shirley of Copperas Cove, Texas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Bethany and Robert Webster of Copperas Cove, Texas, and Deidra and Steven Gibson of Taylor, Texas; three granddaughters, Meagan Thompson, Kaylee Webster, and Melanie Gibson; two grandsons, Steven Gibson, Jr. and Kyle Webster; one great-grandson, Landon Thompson; two brothers, David Smith of Dallas, Georgia, and Ray Smith of Macon, Georgia; and one sister, Susan Thompson of Warner Robins, Georgia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Bravard and Marilyn Peterson, and one brother, Scott Smith.

Funeral Services for Mr. Smith will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2011, at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Berlin. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
