Theresa (Terry) Ann Nist

Theresa (Terry) Ann Nist, 67, of Valdosta, GA died Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born in New York City, New York on May 3, 1947 to the late William A. and Marguerite Pogue Nist. Ms. Nist was a Roman Catholic and associated with the Unitarian Universalist Church in Valdosta where she found a source of spritual strength. She enjoyed her association with the Adult Education Programs at Valdosta State University, Turner Art Center and had a great love and pride for her employees at the LaQuinta Inn and Suites. Ms. Nist graduated from Princeton High School in Princeton, New Jersey in 1965 and Indiana State University. She had a longtime association with Schiff Natural Lands Trust and the Women's Auxilliary of Ralston Engine Company in Mendham, New Jersey. She was a friend of Raritan Headwaters Association and the Center for Contemporary Art in Bedminster, New Jersey.

Survivors include her husband, Roy G. Levine of Valdosta, two sisters and brother in law, Madeleine Nist and Richard Redding of Philadelphia, PA, Jean Nist and the late Geoff Thompson of Lawrenceville, NJ, one brother and sister in law, Timothy Nist and Maggie McClain of Columbus, NJ, numerous nieces and nephews, her caretaker and friend, Vicky Wheeler of Valdosta.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in New Jersey.
