Terry Owen Lowe

Dr. Terry Owen Lowe, 69, of Valdosta, died Saturday, June 26, 2010 at his residence. He was born in San Francisco, CA on August 15, 1940 to Thomas O. Lowe and Betty Jo Woods Lowe. Dr. Lowe graduated from Murray State University where he received a Bachelor and Master's degree. He graduated from Indiana University where he received an Ed. D in Psychology. Dr. Lowe was a retired Professor of Psychology from Valdosta State University. He served in the National Guard and was a member of Central Avenue Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Phyllis Ann Lowe of Valdosta, one daughter and son in law, Cristie Lowe Gilliard (Kermit) of Cairo, GA, one son and daughter in law, Kyle Owen Lowe (Lisa) of Evans, GA, four grandchildren, Blake Owen Lowe and Carter Terry Lowe of Evans, GA, Anna Jewel Gilliard and Owen Kermit Gilliard of Cairo, GA and one brother and sister in law, Thomas R. Lowe (Shelby) of Fallon, NV.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at 11 a. m. at Central Avenue Church of Christ with Mr. G. R. Holton and Mr. John Klimko officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p. m. Monday at the Carson McLane Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Raintree Village Children's Home or to India Missions c/o Central Avenue Church of Christ.
