Teresa Tri

TERESA TRI, 56, of Valdosta, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 28, 2009, at her home.

Teresa was born on December 12, 1952 in Atlanta, and graduated from East Atlanta High School with the Class of 1970. Teresa and her husband, Dr. Terry B. Tri, have lived in Valdosta for the past fourteen years and she was Office Manager at his practice, South Georgia Cardiology. She had previously owned and operated the Perky Pot in Remerton.

She was a "Mom", always there for her children, she loved her grandchildren and her dogs. Teresa was a Christian, was very active in Easter Seals and the Special Olympics, and supported conservative political views. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, sewing, and bowling.

In addition to her husband of thirty-two years, she is survived by their son, Stephen Bradley Tri of Valdosta; their two daughters, Melissa Carmichael and husband Ben of Valdosta, and Angela Fingal and her husband Curt of Beaverton, OR; four grandchildren, Holden and Abbi Carmichael, Alise Fingal, and "baby Fingal" due in May; two sisters, Wanda Coble of Griffin, and Tinya Smith and husband Bryan of Dallas; two nieces who are like granddaughters, Ashleigh and Caitlyn Smith; her mom, Barbara Elmore of Griffin; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her father, Edgar Elmore; her mother, Doris Clack Green; her step-father, James T. Green; and two brothers, Stephen Nickerson and Eddie Elmore.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 1, 2009, in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home.
