Sybil Taylor Langdale, 74 of Valdosta, died on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at Langdale Hospice House following a lengthy illness. Born in Clyattville to the late Crancie Vernon Taylor & Gladys Hardee Taylor, she had been a lifelong resident of this area. Sybil grew up here and graduated from Lowndes High School in 1966. Soon after high school, Sybil met Bob Langdale and they started dating. They were married on May 21, 1968, at First Baptist Church. Sybil soon started raising her family and she was a devoted mother and later on a devoted grandmother and great grandmother. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed her daily trips to the grocery store to prepare for family meals. Sybil was also very active in the community with her friends participating in several bridge clubs, bunko groups and even a poker game now and then. Her friends and family affectionately knew her as Syb or Sybbie. Going to the beach with her family and decorating her home in preparation for the holidays were also things Sybil loved doing. Syb would often show up, unannounced, at the homes of family and friends with gifts she purchased as she thought of them. Sybil was a member of First Baptist Church and the Outlaw Sunday School Class.
