Susie Copeland

Susie M. Copeland, 82, Ft. Oglethorpe, passed away Monday, July 28, 2008. She was born in Clyattville, Georgia to the late Thomas and Rhoda Copeland. Ms. Copeland was a vocational business teacher in the Atlanta City Schools for over 40 years. She received a Masters Degree from FSU. Ms. Copeland was a member of the Fidelis Sunday School class at Lakeview First Baptist Church in Ft. Oglethorpe and was preceded in death by three brothers, Ted Copeland, Arthur Copeland, and Talley Copeland, and one sister, Rhoda Chancy Colburn.

Survivors are three sisters, Cleo Smith, Richmond, Virginia, Gladys Comus, Huntsville, Ala., and Evelyn (Harold) Marlowe, Ringgold; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the Redland Baptist Church, 4888 Rocky Ford Road, Valdosta, Ga. 31602, with the Rev. Max Parris officiating. Burial will be at Redland Cemetery.
