Susan Rewis, 54, of Statenville, passed away Monday, May 2, 2011, at Shands at the University of Florida, Gainesville, after a brief illness.
Susan was born in Valdosta on April 8, 1957. She loved her job of being a Manager at Hidden Oaks Assisted Living Facility, and cared greatly for all the people there. Susan was the type of person that always put others before herself, and she loved her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Rewis; son and daughter-in-law, Dustin and Natasha Dixon; son, Derek Dixon and Trish Finch; daughter, Dana Rewis and Nick Gilbert; four grandchildren, Blade Dixon, Andrea and Drew Corrao, and Destini Finch; grand dog, Browning Gilbert, all of Statenville; numerous brothers and sisters and their families; and one uncle, Paul Gary Everett of Valdosta. She was predeceased by her mother, Kathryn Everett Sapp, and by her grandparents, Stella and Sam Everett.
Graveside Services for Mrs. Rewis will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2011, at Wayfare Cemetery.
