Susan R. Segerstrom, 59, of Hahira passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at her home. She was born on January 3, 1954 in Centerville, Tennessee to the late Charles Denby Riley and Johnnie Lou Rushton Riley and had lived in Lowndes County for many years. Mrs Segerstrom was a member of the Church of Christ. She had served in the United States Air Force and was the Office Manager for Perma-Fix.
Survivors include her husband, David L. Segerstrom of Hahira, son and daughter in law, Rodney and Janine Anderson of Kingston Springs, TN, daughter and son in law, Pamela and Jacob Sparkman of Sparta, TN, four grandchildren, Megan Anderson, Keaton Sparkman, Eli Sparkman, Adam Anderson, her brother, Greg Riley of Lobelville, TN, parents in law, Ward and Bonnie Segerstrom of Valdosta, three sisters in law and brothers in law, Debbie and Johnny Ley of Quitman, GA, Kathy and Perry Kolberg of Hahira, GA, Carol and Glynn Eberhardt of Columbus, GA, numerous nieces and nephews. She was prececed in death by her parents, a brother, Chuck Riley and a sister, Denise Riley Davidson.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 5, 2013 at 2pm in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Mr. Jacob Sparkman officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 12:30pm until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers please make memorials to The Haven, P. O. Box 5382, Valdosta, GA 31603. Graveside services will be held on Monday at Chessor Cemetery in Coble, Tennessee with McDonald Funeral Home, 109 West End St., Centerville, TN 37033, 931-729-3561 in charge of the arrangements.
