Susan Norwood Williams

Susan Norwood Williams, 42, of Quitman, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 31, 2014. She was born June 29, 1971 in Valdosta, and graduated from Lowndes High School. She later became a Radiology Technician and was currently employed by Mobilex.

Susan is survived by her husband of fourteen years, David E. Williams II of Quitman; daughter, Jade Williams of Lake Park; her father, Joel Norwood of Valdosta; two brothers and one sister, Joey and wife Kathy Norwood of Pinetta, FL, Penny and husband Jim Wilhoite of Valdosta, and Davey Norwood of Atlanta; her father-in-law, David E. Williams of Valdosta; her mother-in-law, Marsha Gray and husband Ken of Ohio; her maternal grandfather, James R. McCollum of Ohio; additional siblings, Jennifer Mazzeo of Ohio, Leigh Robert Struble and wife Amy of Valdosta, and Danny Struble of Athens; many nieces and nephews, including special niece, Jessica Norwood of Pinetta, FL; and several aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Norwood Williams, and her step-mother, Bonnie Norwood.

A Celebration of Susan's Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 2014, at the Chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home, with Pastor Tim Blanton officiating.
