Susan Duff May, 54, of Ray City, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, April 4, 2012, after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
She was born September 20, 1957 in Baltimore, Maryland, a daughter of the Richard Arlen Hagan, Sr. and Peggy Lee Duvall Hagan. Susan was an Anesthesia Tech at South Georgia Medical Center.
She was a member of Ray City Baptist Church. She loved her animals, being outdoors, fishing, and was an avid Barbie collector.
Susan is survived by her husband, Jamie May of Ray City; two sons, Jason and wife Shanna Duff of Leesburg, and Ricky Duff of Adel; one granddaughter, Blythe Duff of Leesburg; three sisters, Debbie and husband Chris Manley of Pavo, Margie and husband David Clements of Ray City, and Brenda Hagan of Vine Grove, KY; one brother, Rick and wife Suzanne Hagan of Dublin; her parents-in-law, James and Linda May of Valdosta; a sister-in-law, Tonya and husband Jimmy Pratt of Garrett, KY; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Avy Hiers of Valdosta. She was preceded in death by her parents.
The Funeral Service for Susan will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2012, at the Chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home, Valdosta, with Rev. Lee Graham officiating. Interment will take place privately at Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., prior to the funeral service, Friday at the funeral home.
