Sue Carol Gramling

Sue Carol Gramling, 79, of Valdosta, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2010. She was born on March 8, 1931 in Cook County to the late Erin and Bertha Wetherington Griffin of Cecil, GA. Mrs. Gramling was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith. She held Bible School in her home and was a Children's Church and Sunday School teacher for many years. Mrs. Gramling wrote poetry for the church bulletin and also shared them with many of her friends and loved ones.

Survivors are her husband of fifty nine years, Marcus Gramling of Valdosta, a son and daughter in law, Jerry and Linda McLawhorn Gramling of Decatur, AL, one grandson, Brian Gramling of Decatur, AL and one sister, Marjorie Harnage of Cecil, GA. Mrs. Gramling is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Martha Sue, a son, Dan Gramling, a grandson, Rob Gramling and a brother, Horace T. Griffin.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 17, 2010 at one p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with her grandson, Brian Gramling officiating. A private burial will follow at Redland Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from six until seven p. m. Saturday at the funeral home.
