Steven Kent Sellers, 62, of Lake Park, died on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, following a lengthy illness. He was born on July 10, 1959, in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma to the late George and Dorothy Woods Sellers. Steve had served as the Communications Director for the Georgia Cattlemen’s Association and had an abiding love for the cattle industry and the people involved with the work in advancing the industry as a whole. Steve had a passion for all different genres of music and displayed a penchant for writing songs and playing his guitar. Above all, Steve was a family man which encompassed his natural family and his spiritual family. He deeply loved and cared for his wife, daughters, sons-in-law, and adored his grandchildren beyond measure.
Steve is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Cece Sellers of Lake Park; his daughters and sons-in-law, Megan and Phillip Hackle of Pinetta, Florida, and Sarah and Nick Evans of Valdosta; his grandchildren, Stella, Paxton, Lyza, Aubree, Lizzie, and Grayson, and his sister, Jenny Garrett of Tucson, Arizona.
A memorial service for Steve Sellers will be held at 2pm on Sunday, April 24, 2022, at First Baptist Church Lake Park with Rev. Robert Dawson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Steve’s memory to First Baptist Church Lake Park for the missions and outreach program, 512 W Cotton Ave, Lake Park, Georgia, 31636 and/or the Georgia Cattlemen’s Foundation for the Junior Programs at P.O.
