Steven Douglas Jones-Johnson

Steven Douglas Jones-Johnson, 50, of Valdosta, died on Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born at Ft. Bragg, NC on April 20, 1965, the son of the late Douglas Lee Jones and Sandra Benke. Mr. Jones-Johnson worked in Security Forces, was a retired veteran of the United States Air Force and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors are his wife, Melissa Dyer Jones-Johnson of Valdosta; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Douglas Jones-Johnson, (Jessica) of Forest City, North Carolina, Christopher Jones-Johnson and Tyler Jones-Johnson of Valdosta; his mother, Sandra McNabb Benke of Mt. Pleasant, SC; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Gregory Jones-Johnson, of Mt. Pleasant, SC: Scott Johnson (Rachel) of Summerville, SC.
Funeral services with full military honors will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Captain Blackburn chaplain at Moody Air Force Base officiating.
