Steve Allen Barnes

STEVE ALLEN BARNES, 52, of Brooks County died Thursday, April 19, 2007. He was born in Valdosta in 1954 to Duck and Jeanie Barnes and was a lifelong resident of this area. Mr. Barnes was a member of Providence United Methodist Church and was employed with Duck Barnes Cleaners. He loved to fish and living in the country.

Survivors include his son, Allen Travis Barnes, his daughter, Tracie Lynn Barnes, his parents, Duck and Jeanie Barnes, his sister and brother in law, Anna and Scott Smith, his brother and sister in law, Nolan and Peggy Barnes, nieces, April Smith and Amanda Smith all of Valdosta, his grandmothers, Leila Gaston of Jasper, Fla. and Jewell Barnes of Quitman.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Sunday, April 22, 2007 at Providence United Methodist Church with Rev. John Jacobs and Rev. Bob Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Philadelphia Cemetery.
