Stephanie M. Thomas, 32, of Valdosta, passed away on Wednesday December 30, 2020 at South Georgia Medical Center following a lengthy illness. She was born on April 26, 1988 in Fort Sill, Oklahoma to Earl D. Thomas and Linda Beth Hughes Thomas. Stephanie was a caring soul, always looking for new ways to help people and would volunteer for anything. She went on mission trips, to Alaska and India, and even North Georgia to help work with the blind. Stephanie was crafty and active. She loved to collect different things like mason jars, monopoly games, and playing cards from all the different places she had traveled. She loved her family fiercely. She was devoted to God and attended Redland Baptist Church.
Survivors include, her father, Earl Thomas (Johanna) of Valdosta; her mother, Linda Thomas, of Valdosta; a sister, Deanna Bishop (Travis) of Jesup; a grandmother, LouNelle Lightsey, of Valdosta; and an aunt, Patricia Miley, of Hahira. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, L.D and Doris Hughes.
A visitation for Stephanie Thomas will be held in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home on Sunday January 3, 2021 from 2 – 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, Pearlman Cancer Center, or Redland Baptist Church.
