Star Clark Howell

Star Clark Howell, of Valdosta died at her home on Friday, April 11, 2008. She was born in Albany on February 12, 1922 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Clark. She attended Valdosta Women's College where she met and married John B. Howell. Mrs. Howell was an active member of the First United Methodist Church where she attended the Christian Homebuilders Sunday School Class. She especially held dear her more than fifty year association with her sewing group.

Mrs. Howell is survived by two daughters and sons in law, Jan and Dr. Hank Moseley of Valdosta, Beth and Martin Machen of Charlotte, North Carolina, seven grandchildren, Major Nathan Tart and wife, Emily of Taunusstein-Hahn, Germany, Dr. Meredith Tart of Mooresville, North Carolina, Dr. Tad Moseley and wife, Rebecca of Valdosta, Beth Anne and husband, Jonathan Cudnik of Augusta, Katherine and husband, Charlie Freeman of Valdosta, Wil and wife, Lauren Machen of Arlington, Virginia and Melanie and husband, Derek Williams of Raleigh, North Carolina, four great grandchildren, Thomas Henry Moseley, IV and Charles Howell Moseley both of Valdosta, Benjamin Robert Tart and Ethan Thomas Tart both of Taunusstein-Hahn, Germany. She was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Howell and a daughter, Starr Howell Tart of Valdosta.

Funeral services will be held at 11am, Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Thomas Mason, Jr. officiating. A private committal will be held at Sunset Hill Cemetery.
