Shirley Young Lane

Shirley Young Lane, 78, of Valdosta died Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at Heritage House Nursing Home. She was born in Dupont on September 13, 1933 to the late Leonard and Nell Cox Young. Mrs. Lane was a homemaker and loved and enjoyed taking care of her cats.

Survivors include her son , Jeff Lane and Rachel Vick, one grandson, three sisters, Betty James of Waycross, Virginia (Jack) Grossman, Dorothy Blanchard all of Ft. Pierce, Fla., one brother, Donnie Young of Ft. Pierce, Fla. She was preceded in death by her husband, D. E. Lane and a son, Dale Lane.
