Shirley Riley Mixon, 88, of Barney, GA passed away on November 18, 2024, with her family beside her. Shirley was born on August 11, 1936, in Macon, Georgia to the late Gene and Elizabeth Riley. Once she married Billy they resided in Wrightsville, GA for over 50 years which is where they raised their kids. She loved spending time with her Family and Friends and was a great cook who catered many birthdays and weddings. She enjoyed being the Senior Center Director for Johnson County, GA Senior Center for over 10 years and took them on many fun trips where she would drive a van with them everywhere they wanted to go. Shirley was honored by the County where she lived most of her adult life and was a vital part of the community in Johnson County Georgia and was elected to be the Grand Marshall of the Johnson County Georgia Parade one year. She was an active member of Barney United Methodist Church. Shirley was a loving wife to her husband, Billy Warner Mixon (who predeceased her), for over 60 years and a wonderful mother to her three daughters and grandmother to her seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was also a loving sister to her brother, Bobby Riley (who is now deceased) and his wife, Paige Riley. Shirley celebrated all Holidays in a big way and made them special for her family and friends.

Survivors include her three daughters and sons-in-law; Rhonda and her husband Jimmy Gilbert of Marietta, GA, Donna Stull of Macon, GA (and her husband who predeceased her, Dr. Clark Stull), and Dotti and her husband Pat Davis, II of Barney, GA; and seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, Sydnee and her husband Steve Roberts and their 3 children, Grayson, Garrett and Reagan, AJ and his wife Amanda Gilbert and their 4 children, Jagger, Adrianna, Mila and Stone; Matt and his wife Kaitlin Gilbert; Joshua Logue; Whitney and her husband Ryan Alexander and their 2 children, MacKenzie and Emersyn; Bryce Davis and Riley Davis.
