Shirley Joann Grace

Shirley Joann Grace, 72, of Lake Park, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2009 at Langdale Hospice House following a short illness. She was born on June 26, 1936 in Valdosta to the late James and Lois Crosby. Mrs. Grace was a homemaker and faithful member of Forrest Park Church of Christ all her life. She was a very loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved God and her family and lived every day giving unselfishly of herself to those in need.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, James Grace of Lake Park; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Don Bonner of Valdosta; son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Tracie Grace of Tifton; grandchildren, Sarah Grace and Hannah Bonner of Valdosta, Tanner and Rylan Grace of Tifton; sister and brother-in-law, Betty Jean and David Lewis, brother and sister-in-law, James S. and Gail Crosby, all of Valdosta; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Robert Elworthy of Lake Park; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 10 A.M. Thursday, February 12, 2009 at Forrest Park Church of Christ with Mr. Forrest Chapman, Mr. Ray Joyner, Mr. Bill Ward and Mr. Jason Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Carson McLane Funeral Home.
