Sherry R. Devine

Sherry R. Devine, 57, of Valdosta, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at her residence. Sherry was born in Ravenna, Ohio on September 16, 1958 and has made Valdosta her home since 1985. She was a Registered Nurse and had worked with Bethany Hospice in the past as well as helping financially in many entrepreneurial endeavors. Sherry volunteered her time with many organizations including Bethany Hospice and ACTO. She was also a certified personal trainer and was an advocate for health and fitness. She also loved the great outdoors by spending time in her garden and going to the beach. Sherry's true heart was in serving and helping others whether financially, a kind word or deed, or simply just being there to listen, she was always willing to be there in whatever capacity. Her loving and caring heart will always be treasured by those whose lives she touched.

Survivors include her loving daughters, Taylor Devine and Sydney Devine both of Atlanta, and Jackie Devine of Valdosta; her father, Edward Ruben of St. Augustine, Florida; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Debbie and Jeff Marlowe of DeLand, Florida and Vicki and Tim Logan of Hawthorne, Florida; a brother, Ed Ruben of Ft. White, Florida, and her cat, Shadow. She was preceded in death by her mother, Susan Callen Ruben.

A celebration of life for Sherry R. Devine will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at the Carson McLane Funeral Home.
