Sherie Lynn Dennis Carruthers

SHERIE LYNN DENNIS CARRUTHERS, 40, of Valdosta died Monday, March 24, 2008 at her home due to complications associated with diabetes. She was born on April 16, 1967 in Goldsboro, North Carolina and had lived in Valdosta since August of 1974. Mrs. Carruthers was a graduate of Lowndes High School where she was a member of the Georgia Bridgeman. She was a district assistant for Wal-Mart where she had worked for the past 19 and a half years, a job that she loved and loved her associates at both Wal- Mart Stores and had to resign because of her health issues, but missed it everyday. She was a Methodist.

Survivors include her husband, Craig Carruthers of Valdosta, she had no children, but however leaves behind two fur babies, Monty and Fluffy and one which left her earlier in life, Sherbert, other survivors include her parents, Alan and Brenda Dennis of Valdosta, two sisters and a brother in law, Angela Dennis, Shelley and Kenny Goodwin all of Orlando, Fla., mother in law and her husband, Linda and Wendell Rice of Gray, father in law and his wife, George and Gayle Carruthers of Norman Park, brothers in law and sister in law, Chad and Tish Carruthers of Gray and Dustin Carruthers of Valdosta, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Clyde and Atlie Dennis of Florence, SC. and Bernard and Myrtle Asevado of St. Bernard, LA. The family wishes to thank Dr. Brian Griner, Dr. Arunas Urbonas, Dr. Scott McDowall and their staffs, 5th floor staff of South Georgia Medical Center and Dialysis Unit and DCA for their care and support.

Funeral services will be held at 11am, Friday, March 28, 2008 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Schappaugh, Mr. Mickey Findley, Mr. Curtis Pickels and Rev. Arthur Foskey officiating. Entombment will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7-9pm at the funeral home.
