Shelby Lynne Morton

Shelby Lynne Morton, 22, of Valdosta died Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at South Georgia Medical Center due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born in Valdosta on December 29, 1993 where she was a lifelong resident. Shelby was a Baptist and a cashier at Dollar General. She loved animals and a special dog, Duke. Shelby also loved spending time with family and friends, drawing. Her greatest hobby was cooking and sharing receipes.
Survivors include her parents, Kevin and Joye Morton of Valdosta; sister and brother in law, Shannon and Ryan Youmans of Clovis, NM; her brother, Justin Morton of Sikeston, MO; her nephew, Lucas Morton of Sikeston, MO; maternal grandmother, Beth Adkins of Valdosta; paternal grandmother, Agnes Morton of Cape Girardeau, MO; aunts and uncles, Greg Morton of Jackson, MO, Tim and Stephanie Morton of Frederickstown, MO, Amy and Johnny Sailors of Sikeston, MO, Lee and Michelle Adkins, Renee and Bob Whitmer all of Quitman; special family friend, Marion Warner of Valdosta and many other loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Herman Adkins and paternal grandfather, Joe Morton and an aunt, Melody Morton.
