Shelby Jean (Corbett) Phillips, 76, of New Port Richey, FL, formerly of Lake Park, GA, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017. She was born in Valdosta, GA on October 19, 1940 to the late Austin W. and Wynell (Kinsey) Corbett.
Survivors include the love of her life, Eddie McLeod; daughters, Lisa Phillips Rentz and future son-in-law Steve Murray, Lori and Michael Epling; four grandchildren, Caroline Rentz, Catherine Rentz, Rebecca Rentz, Connor O'Quinn; Siblings, Alton and Mary Corbett, Juanita Holder, Jerry and Debbie Corbett, Phillip and Linda Corbett, Wayne and Phyllis Suggs; Sister-in-law, Dorothy Corbett, wife of the late Terry Corbett; Sister-in-law Carolyn Myrick, wife of the late Buddy Corbett, and numerous nephews and nieces. Shelby was preceded in death by her brothers, Terry and Buddy Corbett and her sister, Annette Howell. She also leaves behind her two beloved Boston Terriers, Baxter and Rebel.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 14, 2017 from 1:00pm-2:00pm at Sardis Missionary Baptist Church, 128 Barney Rd, Lake Park, GA, located off Sardis Church Road in Echols County.
