Sharon Sue Buckles Raines

Sharon Sue Buckles Raines, 61, of Hahira died Friday, January 6, 2012 at her residence. She was born in Columbus, GA on September 20, 1950 to the late Boyd "Buck" Buckles and Effie Lee Coombs Buckles. Mrs. Raines was retired from Bell South and later worked as Human Resource Manager with Rescare Home Care for several years. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and the Salt Shaker's Women's Ministry.

Mrs. Raines is survived by her husband, Larry Raines of Hahira, two sons and one daughter in law, Larry Raines, Jr. and Lyle and Lynn Raines of Hahira, three daughters and sons in law, Leigh and Jamie Moore of Adel, Lindsay and Tommy Corbett and Lauren and Foster Davis of Hahira, thirteen grandchildren, Travis Raines, Breanna Raines, Lindsee Johnson and her husband, Jeffrey, Logan McQuaig, Laceigh Raines, Landis Raines, Brice Moore, Jayley Moore, Lane Corbett, Caleb Corbett, Landen Davis, Luke Davis and Tyler Moldovan, one sister, Dorothy Kash of Phenix City, AL, one brother in law, Walter Andert of Cave Springs, GA, one step brother, Bobby Sherrod of NC and one step sister, Carole Riordan of NY. She is preceded in death by her father, Boyd "Buck" Buckles, her mother, Effie Coombs Buckles Sherrod, her step father, Robert "Bob" Sherrod, two sisters and two brothers in law, Maurice and Wendell Maddox, Doris Andert and Cecil Kash.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 9, 2012 at three p. m. at Fellowship Baptist Church with Reverend Ike Jefferson and Reverend Tommy Bussey officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. She will be placed in the church at two p. m. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Salt Shaker's Women's Ministry or to the ALS Society, 1955 Cliff Valley Way, Suite 116, Atlanta, GA 30329.
