Sharon Mcdonald

Sharon McDonald, 70, of Hahira died Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born on January 2, 1940 in Elkhart, Indiana to the late Darwin D. and Myrtle Seniff Godshalk and had lived in Hahira for the past twenty six years. Mrs. McDonald was a Baptist and enjoyed being with her family. She loved to travel, helping others and enjoyed life to the fullest.

Survivors include her four children, Suzie (Roland) Crocker of Hahira, Ronnie (Danielle) McDonald of Barney, Jamie McDonald of Hahira and Kellie (Phillip Guthrie) McGill of Valdosta, 11-grandchildren, Robert (Shelli) Crocker, Amanda (William) Cooper, Brandon McDonald, Dylan McDonald, Allen Weldon, Jason McDonald, Courtney McDonald, Taylor Weldon, Shyanne McDonald, Lauren McDonald and Dawson Weldon, four great grandchildren, Haley Crocker, Ashlynn Crocker, Drake Pearson and Caleb Cooper, her sister, Nancy Payne of Hahira, two brothers and sisters in law, Keith and Mary Jo Godshalk, Bill and Margie Godshalk all of Orlando, Fla., special best friends, Peggy Davis Barfield of Ray City and Lynda Gloyd of Melbourne, Fla., numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond W. McDonald and a great granddaughter, Hadley Jo Crocker.

Funeral services will be held at 11am, Friday, August 6, 2010 in the chapel of Martin/McLane Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Pitt officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-8pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Pearlman Cancer Center, P. O. Box 1727, Valdosta, GA 31603-1727.
