Sharon G. Barnwell

SHARON G. BARNWELL, 58, of Valdosta died Thursday, July 7, 2005 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born in Jefferson County, Alabama on November 22, 1946 to the late Rev. Cleo and Evelyn Tanner Green and had lived in Valdosta for twenty five years. Mrs. Barnwell was a member of the Bemiss Road Baptist Church and was a tax preparer with H & R Block Company. She was an artist and enjoyed crafts.

Survivors include her husband, Richard L. Barnwell of Valdosta, son and daughter in law, Richard Lowell and Allisah Barnwell of Valdosta, daughter and son in law, Tonya Kay and Wesley Parks of Quitman, son and daughter in law, Michael A. and Lori Barnwell of Valdosta, four grandchildren, Brittany Parks, Justin Barnwell, Amber Barnwell and Toviah Barnwell, one brother, Roger Green of Dora, Ala. and one sister, Renee Hallmark of Alabastser, Ala.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Sunday, July 10, 2005 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Dr. Danny Edwards officiating. Graveside services will be held at 1pm CST Monday, July 11, 2005 at the Liberty Minter Cemetery in Morris, Ala. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
