Sharon Browning Boykin, 47, of Hahira passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Tift Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was born in Valdosta on November 28, 1972 to Latrelle McDaniel Browning and the late Henry A. Browning and lived in Brooks County for many years before moving to Hahira. Sharon was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church and a Social Worker with the Department of Family and Children's Services. She enjoyed watching her children play baseball and softball and traveling with them to play ball. Sharon was strong willed with a big heart and enjoyed spending time with her friends. She also dedicated her life to working with children in need.
Survivors include her husband, Andy Boykin, her daughter, Abby Boykin and her son, Andy Boykin, II all of Hahira; her mother, Latrelle Browning of Valdosta; two brothers and a sister in law, Ashley Browning of Valdosta, Scott and Charlotte Browning of Morven; numerous nieces and nephews; her brothers in law and sisters in law, Tony and Shonna Boykin, Pete and Rachel Boykin, Roger and Jennifer Boykin, Joe Boykin all of Hahira, Amy and Michael Hendley of Tifton. She is preceded in death by her father, Henry A. Browning, her brother, Michael Browning and parents in law, Bill and Betty Boykin.
Funeral services will be held at 3pm, Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Philadelphia Baptist Church with Rev. Klay Luke and Rev. Wayne Boykin officiating. Burial will follow in Philadelphia Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8pm at the Martin/McLane Funeral Home in Hahira.
