Shannon Evans Boyette, 48, of Valdosta, died on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at South Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born in Valdosta on May 7, 1970 and has been a lifelong resident here. Shannon was a school bus driver for Lowndes County Schools for many years. She was a loving, kind, and caring person who was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. She loved hunting, fishing, and in general, just being outdoors enjoying God’s creation. She also loved working with crafts and baking cakes. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband, Tommy Boyette; a son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Danette Evans; her daughter, Tiffany Evans; grandchildren, Elizabeth Kay Evans and Justin Bradley Evans, Jr., and her mother, Jeanette Evans all of Valdosta; her sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Tommy Tapley of Ocala, Florida; nieces and their spouses, Amanda and Zack Ceremelli of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Stephanie and Jon Rider of Lake Park; a nephew, Hunter White of Ocala, Florida; two great-nephews, Chandler and Gage, and a great-niece, Aubrey; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Edwin Evans.
A graveside service for Shannon Evans Boyette will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Hickory Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 am until 11 am at the cemetery. Condolences to the family may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com. Carson McLane.
