Seab H. Miller, 86, of Hahira passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017 at his residence. He was born on August 3, 1930 in Orlando, FL to the late Seab Hunt Miller, Sr. and Floyce Martin Miller. Seab was an educator with the Lowndes County School System. He was an officer in the United States Navy and served during the Korean conflict. Seab was a member of the Hahira United Methodist Church and taught Sunday school there as well as at Hahira First Baptist Church for many years. He was a former director of Valdosta Technical School. Seab graduated from Mercer University with a bachelor's degree, Georgia Southern with a master's degree and the University of Georgia with a specialist degree. He loved and was a member of the Gideon's International, a member of the American Legion and various other civic organizations.
He is survived by his wife, Harriette Miller of Hahira, son and daughter in law, Scott and Melanie Miller of Hahira, daughter and son in law, Suzanne and Clayton Montgomery of Valdosta, grandchildren, Seth Miller of Swainsboro, Maggie Baker (Matt) of Warner Robins, Millie Hollis and Hattie Montgomery of Valdosta.
Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, March 25, 2017 at ten a. m. at Sunset Hill Cemetery with Reverend Mike Davis officiating. Burial will follow. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Gideons International, P. O. Box 4131, Valdosta, GA 31604-4131. There will be no visitation.
