Scott Austin Heikell

October 29, 1986 — July 5, 2013

Scott Austin Heikell, 26, of Lake Park, died suddenly at his residence on Friday, July 5, 2013. Born in Moses Lake, WA on October 29, 1986, Scott lived there going to school and being with his friends and family until he moved to Lowndes County in 2004. Scott started working construction with his uncle very soon after moving to this area. More recently, he had been attending Wiregrass Technical College studying to become an EMT. Scott was a devoted husband and a devoted father to his precious little girls, he was also very close to his Grandmother Pat. He was a big fan of the Denver Broncos, loved making and eating Philly cheese steak sandwiches and attended New Life Community Church. He was a loving, big hearted soul who never met a stranger and most who met him quickly grew to love him.

Survivors include his wife, Courtney Heikell; his daughters, Layla Kate Heikell and Cora Leigh Heikell, all of Lake Park; his mother, Lori Smith with Roger St. Onge, of St. Augustine; his father Eric Heikell with partner Jeff Howard of Moses Lake, WA; his two brothers, Matt Heikell of Denver and David Smith of Moses Lake, WA. Also surviving are his grandfather Jack Allsbrook of Moses Lake, WA; grandparents, Eldred & Joan Heikell, Robert & Dora Heikell and Bob & Ella West and his uncle and aunt, Keith & Judy Allsbrook of Twin Lakes and many other aunts, uncles and cousins.
Scott is preceded in death by grandparents Patricia (Grandma Pat) Allsbrook, and James (Pick) Pickles.

A funeral for Scott will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2013 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home. Pastor Keith Allsbrook will officiate. Burial will follow at Lake Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Valdosta on Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a fund has been set up for his beautiful little girls at www.gofundme.com/3ip3tc.
