Sarah Zipperer Dasher

November 2, 1922 — February 14, 2008

Sarah Zipperer Cothron Dasher, 85, of Lake Park, died Thursday, Feb.14, 2008 at her residence. Born November 2, 1922, in Lowndes County, she was the daughter of the late Horace and Lou Zipperer. She was associated with Lowndes County High School for many years and was active in a number of community activities. She was a member of the Lake Park Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Vivien Bly of Interlachen, FL; two sons, Samuel Cothron of Mechanicsville, VA, Tommy Cothron of Valdosta , stepson, Sammy Dasher of Folkston; five grandchildren, William Horton, Beth Lacombe, Carol Redmon, Jana Missildine, Trey Cothron; three great grandchildren, River Lacombe, Hana Missildine, Breana Missildine. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Grady Cothron and Sam Dasher.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, February 17, 2008 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Dawson officiating. Burial will follow at the Redland Cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or donations be made to Bethany Hospice, 1001 Williams St., Valdosta, GA 31601.
