Sarah W. Noel

Sarah W. Noel, 97, of Quitman, died on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at her residence following a period of declining health. She was born on September 27, 1926, in Naylor, Georgia to the late Lawson Wetherington and Carrie Mae Brantley Wetherington and lived in Virginia for several years. She retired as the Vice-President of Operations with Robinson-Humphries and loved working in her yard. She was of the Christian faith.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carol Noel and David Owens of Quitman; special nephews, Mike Dewey and Jack Dewey; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Robert (Bob) Noel; siblings, Joe Wetherington, Lee Wetherington, James Wetherington, and Lillian Dewey.

A private graveside service for Sarah W. Noel was held on Friday, October 6, 2023, at Sunset Hill Cemetery.
