Sarah Sasser Mcclenahan

SARAH SASSER McCLENAHAN, 85, of Atlanta died peacefully on Wednesday, March 9, 2005. She was born in Valdosta on April 17, 1919 to the late Eugene and Irene Sasser. She graduated from Valdosta High School in 1933 and attended Valdosta State College. Sarah married Lt. Col. Howard E. McClenahan on October 3, 1942 and worked with him for a short while at Ft. McPherson, GA. She was an accomplished cook and loved entertaining family and friends.

Survivors include a sister in law, Rosalind P. Sasser of Atlanta, nieces and nephews, Dr. Ann McClenahan of Sioux Falls, SD., Dr. Robert F. Sasser, Jr. of Nashville, TN., Stephen P. Sasser of Atlanta and Rene’ S. Wilkerson of New Braunfels, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, “Mac” McClenahan and a brother, Robert F. Sasser, Sr. of Atlanta.
