Sarah Kandacy Beggerly, of Valdosta, quietly passed away Friday August 29, 2014. Sarah was a native of Nashville, GA, the wife of the late SFC John D. Beggerly, and mother of four children, John Beggerly, Jr., Christine Corgill, Brenda Rentz, and Tim Beggerly. Sarah had eight grandchildren and five great grand children. The grand children referred to Sarah as "their Granny".
Sarah came from a large family. Sisters, Betty Dabbs, Marleen Nelms, Martha Branird, Anita Terrsa, Latrelle Essil, Christine Neals, and two brothers, Wayne Taylor, and Lewis Taylor.
Being in a military family, Sarah traveled the world with her husband while raising their four children. After retirement they settled in Valdosta GA, where Sarah AKA "Granny", became a volunteer for the Red Cross. Helping others was always special to Sarah which was evident in her time spent in the Red Cross. She was a member of Morningside Baptist Church since its beginning and always enjoyed sharing treats with the children of the church. Granny will be missed.
