Sarah Helen Chadwick Blanton

Sarah Helen Chadwick Blanton, 78, of Valdosta, died on Friday, June 23, 2017 at Langdale Hospice House following a lengthy illness. She was born on November 18, 1938 in Valdosta to the late Willie Guy and Edna Weeks Chadwick. She was retired from retail sales and had been a manager with the Naturalizer Shoe Store. Mrs. Blanton was a member of Twin Lakes Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Herchel L. Blanton of Valdosta; a daughter and son-in-law, Chrystal and Charles Odom of Lake Park; a son, Michael Blanton of Quitman; a daughter, Dorinda (Dodie) Herndon of Valdosta; grandsons, Eric Herndon of Atlanta and Ryan Herndon of Valdosta; granddaughters, Amanda Jordon and her husband Brad Jordon of Cartersville, Georgia, and Brooke Wright of Quitman; great-grandchildren, Sebastian Jordan, Claudia Jordan, Oliver Jordan, and Simon Jordan all of Cartersville, and Riley Wright of Quitman; a sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Bill Dasher of Adel; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Gay Blanton; her sisters, Gale Eunice and Sally Squires, and a brother, Danny Chadwick.
