Sarah Estelle Green

Sarah Estelle Green, 96, of Lake Park died on Monday, December 3, 2007 at her residence following a short illness. She was born in Brooks County to the late John Henry and Emma Hall Guess and has been a lifelong resident of this area. She was a homemaker, a member of Forrest Park Church of Christ, and a devoted loving mother and grandmother.

Her survivors include two sons, Alvin Green of Lake Park and Billy Green of Hahira; two daughters and a son-in-law, Christine and John Tucker of Macon and Ruby Coppege of Valdosta; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her husband, George Green, Sr., son and daughter-in-law, George Jr. and Dolly Green, son-in-law, Billy Coppege and daughter-in-law, Gladys Green.

Services for Sarah Estelle Green will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Mr. Ray Joyner and Mr. Jason Roberts officiating. The burial will follow in the Welcome Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
