Sara Lou Campbell Rivers

Sara Lou Campbell Rivers, 86, lifetime resident of Valdosta, died in Ocala, Florida, on Thursday, May 12, 2005. Born on November 1, 1918, in Rhine, Dodge County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Carl Crisp and Georgia Elizabeth Pitts Campbell. Mrs. Rivers was a hairdresser and owned and operated Sara’s Beauty Shop in Valdosta for many years. She was a member of the Withlacoochee Quilters Guild and Morningside Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by her husband, Herman Ralph Rivers, Mrs. Rivers is survived by a daughter and son in law, Esther and Fenn Folsom of Ocala; grandchildren, Deborah Folsom of Ocala, Teresa Lewis of Ocala, Mark Folsom of Ft. Lauderdale; two great grandchildren, Eve and Luke Lewis of Ocala.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Sunset Hill Cemetery. Reverend Bob Willis will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday beginning at noon until service time. Condolences may be conveyed online at obituaries at www.mclanefuneralservices.com.
