Sandra Wilson Lindsey

February 10, 1954 — February 17, 2021

“Lord, I remember the oh so special day that you brought Sandra into my life at Lowndes High School. I can still see that big, beautiful smile that lit up my life like it was only yesterday.
What a beautiful journey it has been falling deeper into love with each passing day, leaning on
each other when times were tough and creating memories together that will last forever. God blessed us with 48 years, 8 months, and 3 days together in marriage. He carried us through each and every trial and storm. Sandra wasn’t perfect, but she was close enough to perfect for me, lifting me up through every failure saying, ‘you’ve done it before, and I know that you can do it again’. She was the most loving, caring, sweetest wife I could ever ask for, and it warms my heart to know that she is standing arm-in-arm with Jesus and our son, Greg. God truly blessed my life by the gift he gave me in Sandra.
Sandra was the most giving person I have ever known. She worked with the American Cancer Society for over 18 years and then continuously worked with me to build Lindsey Contractors Inc. since 1983. She was a faithful member at Hahira First Baptist Church for over 30 years. She served on the senior adult committee, youth committee and ministry. She had decorated our home with God and bible verses, some of which read: ‘May the love of The Lord be the heart of this home’, ‘I bear you on eagles wings and brought you to myself’ (Exodus 19:4), and ‘Gone yet not forgotten. Although we are apart, your spirit lives within us, forever in our hearts.’ I truly believe the best things she gave to this world was her heart and our two beautiful sons, Chris and Greg. Through Chris, we were blessed with his beautiful wife Kim and three wonderful grandchildren, Reid, Kylee, and Hannah, that made our journey together so much brighter. We love you Sandra, you will live forever in our hearts. ”You are so deeply rooted within us. Love, Your family.
Sandra also loved working with Hahira Senior Citizens and was a very strong supporter of the Gideon Ministry. She enjoyed her time at the beach. Sandra was a 1972 Lowndes High School graduate. She is additionally survived by her sister and brother in law, Robin and Jerome Bodiford, brothers and sisters in law, Michael Wilson and Phillip and Oxana Wilson, brother in law and sister in law, Marc and Mary Lindsey, sisters in law and brother in law, Laura Lee Lindsey and Stefania and Mike Abell. Family that predeceases Sandra are her son, Greg Lindsey, parents, Edward and Genell Wilson, brother in law, Clark Lindsey, parents in law, Frank and Lois Lindsey and nephew, B. J. Bodiford.
