Sandra Johnson

Sandra Johnson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2024, at the Presbyterian Home. Born on September 28, 1940, in Headland, AL, Sandra was the cherished child of the late Mosell and Aquilla (Snellgrove) Hamm.

Sandra's life was a testament to her love of the Lord and family. She adored her grandchildren and found joy in her talent as a seamstress, her love for animals, and her passion for gardening. Her kindness and warmth touched all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her four daughters: Diane Eunice of Pinetta, FL; Cindy Luke and husband Terry of Valdosta, GA; Kaye Martin and husband Ron of Hahira, GA; and April Mays and husband Mitchell of Valdosta, GA. Sandra also leaves behind six grandchildren Jessica Eunice, Jenny O’Steen (Jon), both of Valdosta, GA, Audrey Mulvaney (Sean), Emily Pearce, of Columbia, SC, Eason Pearce, Dalton Mays (Mya), Brianna Belflower (John), all of Valdosta, GA, and ten great-grandchildren Makenzie, Dakota, and Jaylen Green, Kaleigh and Kinsley O’Steen, Lucy Bland, Jace Belflower, Ella Grace Mays, Max and Finn Mulvaney who were the light of her life. She is also survived by her sisters, Martha Klemptner and Katherine Fennell, as well as many other extended family members and friends.

In addition to her husband Robert Alton Johnson and parents, Sandra was preceded in death by great granddaughter Graylyn Lane Belflower and seven siblings: Agnes Watson, Edna Gifford, Leonard, Robert, Buddy, and Edsel Hamm, and Nell Ward.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2024 from 5-7 PM at the Carson McLane Funeral Home, providing an opportunity for loved ones to pay their respects and celebrate Sandra's life.

Sandra's legacy of love and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed.
