Pastor Sandra Jean PerDue Gregory, 64, of Lake Park, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 12, 2011, at South Georgia Medical Center.
She was born April 3, 1946 in Cleveland, Ohio, daughter of the late Donald R. and Jean Massena PerDue. Sandy's whole life was dedicated to serving God. She attended Abundant Life Church of God, was Director at Omega Bible College and Institute, had written plays for churches, was a published author, taught and directed God's word in many venues, and was a guest singer at many churches. Her ministries took her as far as a missionary trip to Bulgaria. She loved her family and her life.
She is survived by her husband, Oliver M. Gregory of Lake Park; one brother and sister-in-law, James E. and Joanne PerDue of Geneva, OH and their family; a son, Oliver M. Gregory, Jr. of Chardon, OH and his family; one daughter, Betty J. "B.J." and husband James F. Dunlap of Valdosta and their family; and a son, Steve E. Gregory of Geneva, OH.
Sandy's family expresses their sincere gratitude to all of those who have prayed for her, the medical staff at South Georgia Medical Center, doctors and their staff, aids, and a heartfelt thank you to the special caregivers for their devotion and diligence to Sandy's care.
Funeral Services for Sandra will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2011 in the Chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home, Valdosta, with Pastor Wayne Hughes and Pastor Marcus Zipperer officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
