Samantha "Sam" Touchton Beasley

Samantha "Sam" Touchton Beasley, 35, of Valdosta, passed away Monday, January 5, 2015, after a lengthy illness.

She was born January 25, 1979 in Valdosta and graduated from Lowndes County High School with the Class of 1996. Sam was a Certified Peer Counselor with New Beginnings and was working to continue her education. She was a member of Azalea City Church of God. Her daughter, Charisma, was the love of her life; she loved her friends and had a very giving and loving nature, and has helped many in need. Sam was loved dearly by her family and friends and will be greatly missed.

In addition to her daughter, Charisma Lee Beasley of Valdosta, she is survived by her parents, Mike and Carol Touchton of Valdosta; a sister and brother-in-law, Hope and Kevin Moore of Atlanta; a nephew and a niece, Garrett Moore and Emily Moore of Atlanta; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and numerous friends who were like extended family. She was preceded in death by her great-grandmother, with whom she had a special bond, Lottie McGauley; her paternal grandparents, Billy and Mary Touchton; and her maternal grandmother, Martha Hamm.

Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Samantha's life at 5:00 pm on Friday, January 9, 2015, at Corinth Baptist Church, with Dr. Henry Cannington officiating.
