Sam G. (Bo) Pittman

Sam G. (Bo) Pittman, 78, of Lake Park died on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was born in Twin Lakes on February 11, 1933 to the late Henry and Maude Moore Pittman and has been a resident of this area all his life. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was retired from Harvey’s Supermarket as store manager.

Survivors include his loving wife, Dorothy Pittman of Lake Park; a son, Randy Pittman (Sandy), of Valdosta; a daughter, Karla Phelps (Jerry), of Lake Park; four grandchildren, Clint, Bowen and Hali Pittman and Kasey Phelps; great-grandson, Grayson Pittman; a sister, Christine King of Twin Lakes and brother, Billy Pittman of Valdosta; sisters-in-law, Geraldine Pittman of Adel, LaFern Van Gilder (Richard), of Atlanta, Joan Sanders of Valdosta; brothers-in-law, Bobby Sanders (Jo) and Carroll Sanders all of Valdosta; special niece, Rebekah Downing and special nephew, Wayne Pittman both of Lake Park; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Henry F. Pittman.
