Sally Scriven Brownell, 77, of Hahira, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023, at her home. She was born on January 10, 1946, in Elmira, NY to the late Edward Scriven and Susie Leonard Scriven. Mrs. Brownell was a cashier at Big Foot Travel Center and loved watching Walker Texas Ranger. She enjoyed spending time with her family, camping, playing games, and telling a good joke.
Mrs. Brownell is survived by her sons, Scott Brownell, of Hahira, and Galen Brownell, of Goose Creek, SC; her grandchildren, Jennifer (David) Axman, of Charleston, SC, and Justin (fiancée Courtney) Brownell, of Summerville, SC; her great grandchildren, Tristan Axman, Simon Axman, and Cayden Axman, all of Charleston, SC; her brother and sister-in-law, Warren and Dawn Scriven, of Beaver Dams, New York; brother, Neil Scriven, of Beaver Dams, New York; sister and brother-in-law, Cheryl and Raymond Ball, of Beaver Dams, New York; and brother and sister-in-law, Dick and Candy Clark, of Binghamton, New York. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Frederick Alvin Brownell, brothers, Jerry Scriven and Joseph Scriven, and sisters, Priscilla Skorczewski and Sandra Boom.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, March 11, 2023 in the chapel of the Martin McLane Funeral Home with Brother Frank Gupton officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery.
