Ruth May Shannon Christiano

Ruth May Shannon Christiano, 87, of Hahira, died Thursday, May 4, 2006 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born on June 4, 1918 in Richmond Hill-Long Island, New York to the late Frank Casper and Elizabeth Josephine Zwier Rottenberger. Mrs. Christiano was a homemaker and a member of St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband, Angelo Christiano of Hahira, one son and daughter in law, James K. and Janice E. Shannon of Live Oak, FL, one daughter and son in law, Jeanne and Tony Christiano of Hahira, three grandchildren and their spouses, Bob and Leitha Christiano of Orlando, FL, Mike Christiano of St. Louis, MO, Don and Angi Christiano of Quitman, six great grandchildren, Alizabeth, Ashley, Nick, Ariel, Zach and Abbi.

A rosary will be said Friday, May 5, 2006 at seven p. m. at the Martin McLane Funeral Home in Hahira and the family will receive friends until 8:30 p. m. A funeral mass will be held at eleven a. m. Saturday, May 6, 2006 at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church with Father John O’Brien officiating. Cremation will follow.
