Ruth Ellen Rogers

Ruth Ellen Trull Rogers, 77, of Valdosta died Monday, June 22, 2009 at her residence. She was born on August 22, 1931 in Norman Park. Her parents were the late Robert and Daisy L. Howard and Gilliam N. Trull. Mrs. Rogers was a homemaker and a Baptist.

She is survived by one son and daughter in law, Gerald and Vickie Rogers of Grantville, one daughter, Katrina M. Rogers of Valdosta, eight grandchildren, Natalie and Terry Whisnant of Stockbridge, Rhonda and Reggie Frasu of Thomasville, Travis Rogers of Peachtree City, Amanda Rogers of Grantville, Christine Ogle of Thomasville, Daniel Rogers of Conyers, Caitlan Rogers-Rowe and Serra Rogers-Rowe of Valdosta, five great grandchildren, Kaleb Strickland, Tessa Strickland and Rodney Whisnant of Stockbridge, Riley Frasu and Reese Frasu of Thomasville, two sisters and one brother in law, Geneva and Waldo Rogers of Jasper, FL and Henrietta S. Courson of Valdosta, two sisters in law, Edith Howard of Covington and Vera Rogers of Adel, special friend, Jewel Nicholson of Hiawassee, special adopted family, Mandy, Hope, Angel and Cody Fitzgerral. Mrs. Rogers is preceded in death by her husband, Carroll A. Rogers, three sons, Ronnie C. Rogers, Gilliam N. Rogers and James Robert Rogers, one daughter, Vicky Rogers, one grandson, Matthew C. Rogers and one brother, Robert Howard Rogers.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at eleven a. m. at the graveside at Sunset Hill Cemetery with Reverend Bruce McCracken and Reverend Charles Barden officiating.
