Ruth Davis Recenello

Ruth Davis Recenello, 82, of Valdosta died Sunday, February 27, 2011 at Langdale Hospice House after a lengthy illness. She was born in Coffee County to the late Elzie M. and Mary Sweat Davis and had lived in Valdosta for the past fifty five years. Mrs. Recenello was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah�s Witness. Ruth was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and spiritual sister. Her delight was in caring for others and her focus was on being approved by her creator, Jehovah God and his son, Jesus and living forever in their service.

Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Constance (Coni) and Bobby Johnson, granddaughter, Brianna Johnson all of Valdosta, sister and brother in law, Darlene and Marion Youmans of Inverness, Fla. and sister in law, Maxine Davis of Jacksonville, Fla., nine nephews, seven nieces, host of cousins, great nieces, great nephews as well as a loving spiritual family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Recenello, three sisters, Clarice Hughes, Vonice Haire, Sue Kaiser and three brothers, Roger Davis, Reginald Davis and Gordon Davis.

Memorial services will be held at 11am, Saturday, March 5, 2011 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah�s Witnesses, 3030 Highway 41 S, Valdosta, GA 31601 with Mr. Martin Haire officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5-7pm at the funeral home.
